FAQ
Stumptown Strokes events are typically held 2-3 times a month: on the second and fourth Sundays at 4 p.m, as well as a varying weeknight meeting from 6 to 8 p.m.
Dates for the monthly gatherings are emailed out around the first of each month with a link to get your ticket. We also email discount codes with the monthly email so check it out. Ticket link can be found on our website, is updated monthly, and is always current for the month. Advance registration is required. In keeping with the venue capacity requirements, only 50 people may attend any given event.
Sundays typically sell out a day or so in advance.
Now that we're taking over our own space, our expenses have gone up. So we've added tiered pricing. $15 is the discounted rate, $20 is closer to true cost, $25 & $30 both help make up for the discounted rate tickets. All prices allow the same access.
Special events can vary.
Our venue has a maximum capacity of 50 people. Once we send out our monthly event invites, we typically reach venue capacity at least a few days before the event and registration closes. (Tip: if you plan on joining us, we encourage you to respond quickly to the invite to register your attendance.)
Guys who attend range in age from their 20s up to their 70s. The average age at any given Stumptown Strokes event is approximately 35 to 45 years old.
You are in charge of your own body and, frankly, "No means no." Consent is key and should be respected among all attendees. Although it may be obvious to some people, we ask our attendees to always inquire first before touching another person. If someone replies "no thanks," please respect their wishes. It's that simple.
We encourage consensual safe J/O play and stress the "no lips below the hips" rule. And while kissing is allowed, insertion of anything anywhere is not permitted — whether with yourself or another person.
Some examples of permitted play:
Self-masturbation and consensual mutual masturbation
Showing off and watching
Frot/Frottage (rubbing bodies/penises together)
Oral contact above the waist only (kissing, nipple nibbling, etc.)
If you identify as male and enjoy jacking off with other males, you can (and should) attend. Masturbation is universal and, thus, applies to all sexual orientations. We are a group of men who enjoy jacking off with other men. If you enjoy watching and/or playing with other men while they jack off, you will fit right in. At no time do we ask anybody to disclose their sexual orientation and/or marital status.
If, for any reason, you think you may be put off by this kind of environment, Stumptown Strokes is probably not for you.
Stumptown Strokes places containers of lube and rolls of paper towels around the play space.
In order to attend a Stumptown Strokes meetup you'll need to:
Be on our email list to receive the ticket link (monthly email usually goes out the first of each month).
Confirm your spot by clicking the ticket link in the email and buying your ticket online. (Sorry, a cash option for purchasing event tickets is not available.) Tickets can sell out a few days before the event, so we encourage you to act fast if you're interested in attending.
If you have a ticket and can't go, let us know ASAP so someone else can take your place. Send us an email at least 24 hours in advance and let us know if you'd like a refund, to switch to another date within that calendar month, or to donate to the jo cause. (We cannot guarantee a refund if notified less than 24 hours before a scheduled event.)
On the day of the event, arrive within 30 minutes of check in with ID, and a bag for your clothes and a lock if you're going to use one of our limited availability lockers.
While Stumptown Strokes is a men's jack off club, we aren't in the business of defining what a man is. The majority of our members are cis-gender males, but we welcome our trans-brothers!
We have three options if you can't make it after signing up:
1: Please cancel within 24 hours of the event by email and let us know if you'd like a refund.
2: Cancel within 1 hour of the event to switch to another event within the calendar month (depending on availability).
3: We're always happy and grateful for your donated ticket price if you can't make it! Cancelling less than an hour before event start and no-shows are non-refundable and non-changeable.
Many of our events sell out, so the more notice you give us for cancellation the more likely it is we can find someone else to take your space!
If you were regularly getting our monthly email and it stopped back around October you're not alone. We are still trying to resolve this issue, but please check your spam filter, and add info@stumptownstrokes.com & stumptownstroke@gmail.com to your contact list of approved senders.
We now post the body of the email on our website just in case.
